Description:
The goal of this study is to develop a model of the interaction of the descent rockets' exhaust with various layers of the lunar regolith.
The study should examine:
- Blast effects on the lander landing gear.
- Depth and structure of the eroded "pit" as a function of radius.
- Chemical and physical changes in regolith that could complicate Rover deployment.
