Description:


A summary of the environmental conditions that the spacecraft is subjected to during launch should be provided under Launch Environment, as an easy reference for system designers. Present plans are to launch aboard an ARIANE 5 rocket. This study should document:

  • Mechanical Environment
  • Acceleration
  • Vibration
  • Shock
  • Thermal Environmnet
  • Ground Facility Temperatures
  • Flight Environment
  • Under flaring
  • After flaring jettison
  • Electromagnetic environment

Data for the above material is available in Chapter 3, "Environmental conditions" of Ariane 5's User Manual[1]. It is a primary source of information on the ARIANE 5.
