Latest Blogs

I don't think the latest blogs should be on listed in the wiki unless somebody volunteers to update it every time there is a new blog. We already have a link to the team blog and people who are interested in following it can just subscribe to the RSS feed. --Alexc 15:26, 15 July 2009 (EDT)

I know plenty of extremely technical people (myself included) who couldn't be bothered to sign-up for an RSS feed of anything. Also, I can't locate the link to the team blog that you referred to. I recall seeing a blogspot page once, but noted that this link was killed from the mainpage because that particular blog had gone stale. As far as how it appears when I put it there... I thing it should be reformatted with the bullets that are used elsewhere on the page. But whether we link to the xprize site blog posts or not... I think having blog links from the Wiki mainpage is a great benefit to users who are exploring the site and looking for interesting developments that the teams have accomplished recently... and that's exactly what blogs are for. Well, you found the link to the official team blog since you posted it yourself when you added the links ;) Anyway, I don't mind having links to the latest blog posts but my question is: Who is going to update the list every time somebody makes a new blog post? Surely you agree that there is no point in having a list that is out of date... I suggest we wait with it until the wiki is moved to the new server and we can install RSS feed extension so that the list is updated automatically. Even then, the Portal:News would IMHO be a better place for it. --Alexc 19:34, 16 July 2009 (EDT)
