Guidelines for groups

Groups are a way of organizing work towards a common goal such as a task or a work package.

Creating groups

To allow maximum 'leanness' within the team, anyone with an idea for a solution to a task, work package or other team objective may initiate groups on their own volition at any time.

Each group should have a 'home page' in the wiki, preferably with an easy at-a-glance portal style layout, stating the purpose of the group and with links to all deliverable materials produced by the group (either from the group page itself or from subpages).

The group page should be added to the 'Group' category, by adding the following line to the bottom of page:

[[Category:Group]]

Working groups are groups with a broader scope and should generally be approved by upper management before being created. Whereas several, parallel groups may strive towards solving the same goal or objective, working groups are typically 'one of their kind', with applicability across the team.
